Luke Moore

Luke Moore is a senior adaptation expert with  experience in mainstreaming climate change adaptation into several disciplines and sectors in developing countries around the world. His main thematic focus is building resilience in climate-sensitive sectors and vulnerable communities, drawing on methodologies such as ecosystem-based adaptation, participatory design, and systems thinking to work towards transformative change and meaningful impact.

Luke is a trained social scientist and has an affinity for working at the science-policy-society interface to ensure that project interventions are appropriately framed within local political economies and contexts. Since 2009, he has worked with clients, partners, donors, and financiers in the private, public, research, NGO, and multi-lateral sectors to deliver impactful projects, programmes, portfolios, and research in 25-plus countries. Following a decade in the private and NGO sectors, Luke branched out as an independent consultant in 2020 while maintaining working relationships with several international organisations as an associate.
